The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) defines a "qualified retired law enforcement officer" as "an individual who separated from service in good standing from service with a public agency as a law enforcement officer."
The Retired Law Enforcement Officer will complete the required forty (40) round firearm qualification course as outlined by the State of Arizona statute and Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZ POST) Board to satisfy the required annual firearm qualification as required by HR218 / LEOSA.
