This course is a condensed version from our regular 5-hour Basic CCW 5.0 course and DOESN’T include a live fire session.
The Basic CCW 3.5 course was designed with affordability in mind, for the person that has a busy lifestyle consumed with work and social commitments. This course is designed to meet the current state of Arizona requirements for those wanting to apply for an Arizona concealed carry weapons permit.

Course Overview:
This course is taught by an NRA certified instructor and former Federal Law Enforcement Use of Force and Firearms instructor who has taught at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and has over 25 years of real-world law enforcement experience involving use of force encounters.
The content covered in this course is designed to provide the student the understanding and knowledge regarding concepts of mindset, mental conditioning, conflict avoidance, self-protection, everyday carry equipment selection, use of force options, contact with law enforcement, the carriage of concealed carry firearms, and associated legalities.
There is ample opportunity in this course for those students seeking to develop, strengthen, and improve their practical knowledge in this casual, stress-free, and fun learning environment. You’ll find this course to be informative and beneficial regarding the responsibilities as a legally armed citizen.

Course Outline:
· Overview of the universal firearms safety rules, storage, and security.
· Basic marksmanship fundamentals overview.
· Arizona laws and regulations surrounding the carriage of concealed firearms.
· Conditions of situational awareness, preparedness, mindset and training.
· Concealed carry options and equipment selection (holster, light, first aid, universal tools, etc.).
· CCW Reciprocity and traveling to other states.
· Arizona Revised Statues regarding Justification for deadly force and Self-defense.
· Liabilities associated with the carriage of firearms.
· Conflict avoidance, use of force options and aftermath.
· Contact with law enforcement.
Required Equipment:
· Note pad and pen/pencil.
· Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid state ID or U.S. Government issued ID (Passport or

·Only active military personnel can apply for a CCW if under 21 years of age. (Please refer to the
AZDPS website for details).
