Course Overview:
This course is taught by an NRA certified instructor with a real-world law enforcement background, experienced in use of force encounters who will provide hands-on training for those students seeking to develop, strengthen, and improve their knowledge regarding the carriage of concealed firearms and associated legalities.
This course is designed to meet the current state of Arizona requirements for those wanting to apply for an Arizona concealed carry weapons permit. This interactive course will include an overview of the laws and regulations surrounding the carriage of concealed firearms, liabilities, conflict avoidance, use of force, contact with law enforcement authorities, equipment selection, firearms safety, proper handling, and the proper storage of firearms.
There is ample opportunity in the classroom and range to achieve the desired practical knowledge in this casual, stress-free, and fun learning environment. You’ll find this course to be informative and beneficial in the responsibilities as a legally armed citizen.
This course will also include a 50 round familiarization course of fire for those who wish to apply their newly learned techniques from the lecture portion of the course.

Course Outline:
· Overview of the universal firearms safety rules, storage, and security.
· In-service loading and unloading handgun techniques.
· Basic marksmanship fundamentals overview.
· Arizona laws and regulations surrounding the carriage of concealed firearms.
· Conditions of situational awareness, preparedness, mindset, and training.
· Concealed carry options and equipment selection (holster, light, first aid, universal tools, etc.).
· CCW Reciprocity and traveling to other states.
· Arizona Revised Statues regarding Justification for deadly force and Self-defense.
· Liabilities associated with the carriage of firearms.
· Conflict avoidance, use of force options and aftermath.
· Contact with law enforcement.
· After-action course review.
Practical Skill Exercise:
· Perform an in-service loading and unloading handgun technique.
· Demonstrate low light flashlight techniques. (classroom)
· Handgun draw to target and safe recovery back to the holster (classroom).
· Perform various reload drills (emergency, tactical, magazine exchange) with a firearm.
Required Equipment: (Some items may be available to rent at the host location)
· Full size, carry, compact, micro semi-automatic pistol or revolver. (Iron sight or Micro Optic
equipped)
-- Students can rent a semi-auto pistol at location if rental firearms are available.
· Hearing protection (passive or electronic).
· Eye protection—wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses.
· Rigid everyday carry (EDC) belt (1.5” or wider)—contact us for additional questions.
· Outside the Waistband (OWB) holster (strongside only), Inside the waistband (IWB) holster or
appendix inside the waistband holster are acceptable. (No—cross-draw holsters, nylon, cloth, or
SERPA style holsters)—contact us for additional questions.
· Sturdy magazine pouch(es) or revolver speed loader pouch. (optional)
· At least 2 pistol magazines or revolver speed loaders.
· Handheld flashlight. (optional)
· Weapon mounted light with suitable holster (optional)
· Casual, comfortable clothing suitable for training in any weather.
· Cover garment to conceal handgun.
· Closed toe shoes, footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning.
· A minimum of 50 rounds of approved range ammunition.
· Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid state ID or U.S. Government issued ID (Passport or

·Only active military personnel can apply for a CCW if under 21 years of age. (Please refer to the
